Taxus Smits Hedging®
Taxus Smits Hedging®
The Taxus baccata (English yew) has a splendid, dark green colour. In the winter, spring, summer and autumn. The Taxus baccata is a beautiful green hedge you can enjoy the whole year round. The plant provides densely branched, evergreen cover. This gives the garden a beautiful, luxurious appearance. A high taxus hedge therefore immediately provides a lot of privacy, as this protects the garden from prying eyes. If you prefer a lower hedge to provide a natural border, that isn’t a problem, Smits Tree Nurseries can also supply a low variety of the Taxus Baccata, upwards from 40 centimetres.
Fagus Sylvatica Smits Hedging®
Fagus Sylvatica Smits Hedging®
Every horticultural professional knows that the Fagus sylvatica (beech hedging) is a popular hedging plant. These plants provide a lovely structure and can divide a garden into various areas. Many people love the fact that the leaves remain on the plants during the winter until the new leaves appear. The green beech (Fagus sylvatica) tends to be more popular than the red beech (Fagus syl. ‘Atropunicea’). These are sometimes combined with one another to create a cheerful effect. We have both species in our product range. The Fagus sylvatica brings life to any garden. Large and small, contemporary and rural.
