As Managing Director, you play a crucial role in the further development and growth of Smits Nursery. Together with the MT, you formulate a clear vision and a long-term strategy, and guide the organisation in the transition needed to realise this ambition. A solid foundation is the starting point: structure, professionalise processes and clarify roles and responsibilities are the first priorities. In this way, you will make an important contribution to achieving Smits Boomkwekerij's growth objectives.
After one year, you will have strengthened the internal structure of the organisation and successfully coordinated the cooperation between the two branches, in the Netherlands and England. To keep this on track, you will be physically present in England on average a few days a month. It is very important here that the team has clarity on expectations and responsibilities, so that everyone can contribute effectively to the shared ambition.

Smits Boomkwekerij distinguishes itself through very high quality standards and a focus on specific high-end trees.
The ambition of Smits Boomkwekerij is to lay a solid foundation for further growth within 3 years, aiming for a sustainable sales growth of about 50% within 10 years. The organisation plans to achieve this by positioning itself even higher in the market and, in time, also supplying directly to the end customer.
