In this villa garden, located in a wooded area, the existing planting forms the natural starting point of the design. New trees have been carefully added between the existing mature trees, creating a layered whole with an interplay of high and low.
Species such as Pinus sylvestris in pinea form, Pinus sylvestris ‘Watereri’, Osmanthus burkwoodii and Carpinus betulus blend in seamlessly with the surroundings and enhance the green character of the garden. Cloud shapes of Taxus baccata spread throughout the garden provide soft, organic accents and subtly break the tighter lines of the paving, among other things.
Hedera helix is used over more than a hundred metres, adding depth, structure and cohesion. The alternation between straight and curved, large and small, high and low, makes this garden a harmonious whole in which peace and dynamism complement each other perfectly.
