For this front garden of a house with adjacent office, we opted for a combination of structure, tranquillity and sophisticated accents. The basis of the design consists of tightly pruned cloud plants of Elaeagnus ebbingei ‘Compacta’. These clouds create a green and calm rhythm and immediately give the front garden a well-kept, contemporary look.
Between the clouds, Pinus nigra nigra and Quercus ilex have been planted. These trees bring height and depth to the whole and provide year-round structure and a powerful green image. The combination of cloud shapes with these robust trees enhances the contrast between austere and natural.
An Amelanchier in a corten steel planter was chosen as an eye-catcher. This adds a warm accent to the design and softens the whole with its airy growth and seasonal feel.
A front garden that not only functions as a calling card for home and office, but also shows how carefully chosen planting brings together tranquillity, appearance and character.
